This race is sanctioned by both USAT (United States Triathlon Association) and IUTA (International Ultra Triathlon Association).
One Day license for USAT is $15.00.
The IUTA fee has been paid in the entry fee.
Up until application deadline you can either put your monies towards next years race or get a refund minus $50.00. After the Application Deadline you can put your monies towards next year's race and have $75.00 deducted or get your monies refunded minus a $100.00 fee.
We will no longer reserve a spot for you without an application and down payment. To reserve a spot, send in the application and $250.00, the final payments will still have to be made by the payment cutoff dates stated on the application form. Any refunds will fall under the Cancellation/Refund Policy.
You can either send a Check/Money Order (U.S. Dollars) made out to Steve Kirby or use PayPal to pay for your entry fee and any other fees associated with the race (shelter rental, food for your support crew, etc).
If you use PayPal, please send money to steve@USAUltraTri.com and send us an email afterwards to let us know you send the payment.
When using PayPal please select "I'm sending money to family or friends", don’t use "I'm paying for goods or services" as I will be charged a fee.
For athletes sending in other forms of payment besides U.S. Funds or PayPal, please check with me first before you do so as there are bank fees associated with other forms of payment.

- 30 minute onsite massage by a massage therapist (massage can be used any time before, during or after the race. If you wait till you finish, please don't wait to get it as the massage person will get backed up later in the race.).

- For Doubles finishing the race you get a Placement or Finishers Buckle, a IUTA Finishers Medallion, and a high quality Patagonia long sleeve technical shirt with race logo and 2019 Finisher on left breast.
- Single athletes will get a Finishers Buckle and a high quality long sleeve technical shirt with race logo and 2019 Finisher on left breast.

Pre-Requisittes: Solo Double ANVIL Athletes must be at least 21 years of age and have completed a IRON/FULL distance triathlon or other significant accomplishements. Recommended to have ultra distance swims, bikes and runs as well. Teams and Single Anvil athletes the longer races you have completed the better.
Double Anvil solo and team athletes have 36 hours to complete the race.
Single Anvil athletes have 17 hours to complete the race.
Once the race starts, the clock keeps ticking, even if you take a couple hours nap. This race is formatted the same as any other triathlon with you completing the 4.8/2.4 mile swim first, then complete the 224/112 mile bike course and finish with the 52.4/26.2 mile run course.
The race starts 7:00 a.m. Friday and the Double Anvil solo and teams have until 7:00 p.m. Saturday to officially finish the race; and the Single Anvil athletes have until 1200 Midnight to finish.
Awards Lunch will take place Sunday morning - time/place to be determined.
There are cabins inside the park. If they are all taken, check with Steve Kirby as he may have some reserved in his name.
These cabins have 2 rooms, one with a Queen bed and one with two Twin beds, there is a pull out sofa couch in the family room. Two bathrooms, kitchen with refrigerators, stove and microwave. Large screened-in porch.
Wetsuits/Skinsuits/Speedsuits: The swim is in Lake Louisa itself, starting from the beach area at Lake Louisa State Park. The course will be an out and back to the middle of the lake 1,056 feet/322 meters then back for a total of 2,112 feet/644 meters, doing this clock-wise, 12 loops total. The water temp is appx 65 degrees, so wetsuits are recommended. We will put you in groups of different colored swim caps and one the timers will monitor a certain group of colors. Basically, as long as your wetsuit is not more than 5mm thick, it can be used.
